22 Petit Verdot

78% Petit Verdot, 16% Merlot, 6% Cabernet Franc. Our 2022 Petit Verdot is deep and layered, showing rich raspberry, black cherry, and bramble flavors, with vanilla, toasted wood, and dark cocoa notes shining through. The palate is full-flavored and structured, with a lovely balance of bright dark fruit and integrated oak. Although traditionally used as a blending component, Petit Verdot shines as a single varietal in Virginia with its dark fruit, spice, and rich tannins. Barrel-aged 16 months in 27% new French oak.
