The Estate Collection
From our 7.5-acre vineyard, we craft distinctive Virginia wines that showcase the character of our region. Our Petit Manseng and Norton stand alone as varietals, while our Merlot, Cabernet Franc, and Petit Verdot are masterfully blended to create our signature Unité Reserve. Each bottle captures the essence of Loudoun’s terroir, grown and vinified on our hillside. We invite you to savor this unique collection, shaped by Virginia’s land and climate.
2024 Petit Manseng
Sweet tropical mist / Dances by the waterfall- / The pineapple life.
100% Petit Manseng, stainless steel. Our Estate white is summery and bright, with energetic tropical and citrus notes in the aroma. Ripe pineapple, tangerine, and mango mingle on the palate, with a hint of honeyed sweetness to balance Petit Manseng’s natural lively acidity. Strong vineyard performance and a bright character make Petit Manseng a perfect fit for Virginia, and one of our winemaker Melanie's favorite grapes to grow and vinify. In 2022 we planted an additional block of Petit Manseng at the southern end of the vineyard.
2022 Norton
Last fruit of autumn, / Smoky woods whispering tales / Through burgundy leaves.
88% Norton, 6% Petit Verdot, 6% Cabernet Franc, barrel-aged 17 months in 50% new American oak. This richly pigmented wine opens with a deep aroma of black plum, gentle smoke, and violet. The palate is juicy and bright exhibiting jammy brambleberry notes alongside spice, toasted wood and soft tannin. Our Norton block runs across the bottom of the hill at the south end of the vineyard. Norton is notable in Virginia as a hybrid grape originally developed in Richmond, VA with both Vitis vinifera and indigenous Vitis aestivalis ancestry.
2021 Unité Reserve
Trail your hands along / Sun-warmed leaves, in earth-spiced air / Promising new life.
66% Petit Verdot, 17% Cabernet Franc, 17% Merlot, barrel-aged 17 months in 60% new French oak. Unité Reserve represents the best lots from our Estate vineyard, anchored each year by Petit Verdot. The aroma is complex and satisfying, mingling dark black raspberry and black currant with touches of violet, black tea, cacao, and tarragon, all under warm oak. The palate is plush and round, with notes of deep black fruit and toasted wood supported by velvety, structured tannins. Each vintage of Unité Reserve is produced with passion and care to tell the story of Virginia wine, particularly here in beautiful Loudoun County. All lots are individually hand-harvested and fermented, then pressed and put to barrel for aging. Careful barrel selection and blending allows us to best express the vineyard and vintage. Expected to age well for the next decade or more, this wine will pair with dishes that complement the herbal and savory notes, such as an herb-crusted leg of lamb or beef wellington.
